Workshop organised by THOC in Nicosia, Cyprus
Time: 19, 20 & 21 May 2023
Place: THOC building, New Stage, Nicosia
Language: English
Every year more and more theatre practitioners are graduating in Cyprus, UK, Europe, US and all over the world. They go back home (wherever the home is) and get confronted with questions from their friends, parents, partners – what are you planning to do now? How are you going to make a living as a theatre maker? Could you have done something more useful in/with your life? Not everyone has the opportunity to work immediately on stage.
This workshop will try to open some different ways of thinking about their future for recent graduates of performing arts programmes from Cyprus and abroad. Dr Aleksandar Brkić will be using his experience as an educator, consultant and theatre producer in UK, Europe, Africa and Asia, to explore different skills, strategies and opportunities that young theatre makers can pursue to make their stories, journeys and careers more sustainable.
