DESCRIPTION:Theatre in Palm will be hosting a series of residencies for emerging theatre artists throughout 2024!\nThe residencies offer the artists a chance for professional development and building their professional networks in Europe. The main purpose of the residencies is to foster collaboration\, spark inspiration and create shared insights and experiences while building meaningful and life-changing connections. \nBroaden your horizons – network with other artists and find job opportunities\nThe residencies will take place in 12 different countries during different times in 2024. You can apply to any of the residencies. SUMMARY:Roadshow: Letters from Europe
DESCRIPTION:Unsilenced Theatre\, a theatre group from Finland\, has collected untold stories from European people\, dived deeply into the historical events and explored the concept of memories and how we remember things. We have asked people what do they wish to remember and what are the things they wish to forgot? \nThe first artistic outcome of the documentary inspired material takes a form of a Historical Museum that examines the concept of forgotten memories and it may or may not remember things correctly. The Museum opens in September in Turku\, Finland 2024. SUMMARY:Turku Residency Showcase
DESCRIPTION:(Alla suomeksi) \nResidency for exploring\, sensing\, immersing and creating\nFive international artists from different backgrounds and skillsets will work together two weeks in a multidiscipline workshop in Turku\, Finland\, on the themes of equality and sustainability. Here you can find the artist introductions. \nDuring this creative process they will share with each other\, learn from each other and by the end create something special together. It can be a performance\, installation\, poem\, play script\, music\, reflection of their work\, work-in-progress  – nobody knows before they have processed and created it. According to the mentor of the residency\, puppeteer Maiju Tainio: “The emphasis will be in exploring tactile\, multisensory and immersive art. \n  \nShowcase is free and open for all\nThe result of the residency work will be presented on Thursday 5.9.2024 at 13.00-15.30 at the Turku Arts Academy (Linnankatu 54-60\, Turku). The performance will start from Köysiratagalleria at 13.00. Group’s working language is English. \nRegister here! \nYou are warmly welcome!\n  \nImmersiivisen\, tutkiskelevan ja luovan residenssityön lopputyö\nViisi nousevaa teatterialan kansainvälistä taiteilijaa erilaisista taustoista ja taiteen aloilta työskentelevät yhdessä syys-lokakuun vaihteessa kaksi viikkoa Turussa järjestettävässä monialaisessa residenssissä. Teemoina ovat tasa-arvo ja kestävyys. Täällä voit tutustua taiteilijoihin: taiteilijaesittelyt. \nResidenssin luovan prosessin aikana taiteilijat jakavat keskenään\, oppivat toisiltaan ja luovat lopulta jotain erityistä yhdessä. Lopputulema voi olla performanssi\, installaatio\, runo\, näytelmäkäsikirjoitus\, musiikkia\, työn reflektointia  – tätä ei kukaan tiedä ennen kuin he ovat prosessoineet ja luoneet sen.
