Theatre in Palm: A Journey of Growth and Connection (Part II 11-24/11/24 TIP ROAD SHOW and INEDIT FESTIVAL)

This time, I returned not just as a participant- but as a creator. I came to make a show, and I left with much more than that.

From the very start, I connected with more people than I had expected. I collaborated closely with an intern from ETFI, worked alongside two different theatre groups – one of which I also performed with- and engaged with the staff from the university where our show took place. I reconnected with old friends and made many new ones, expanding both my artistic and personal networks.

This time around, I had the chance not only to create the show I came for, but also to perform a monologue from my personal repertoire. My learning deepened too – I supported the technical team, improved my understanding of lighting and sound consoles, and even designed the lighting for my own show. I was able to help other teams as well, sharing what I’d learned along the way.

On top of that, I was invited to give feedback on the early development stages of other performances, conduct interviews, and help with camera work and recordings. It truly felt like a full-circle experience- creative, technical, collaborative, and cultural.

And finally, I had the opportunity to explore more of Belgium- not only Brussels but also Antwerp, where I experienced the Flemish side of local culture.
