SUMMARY:European Theatre Lab - "Zero" Budget Story
DESCRIPTION:Zero” Budget Story will be a thorough analysis and description of the preparation and creation of a theatrical performance. As we know\, to put on a performance\, a sum of money is needed to make it possible. Writer\, director\, set designer\, costume designer\, actors\, music composer\, lighting designer\, sound designer\, publicity\, graphic designer\, production manager\, production organization\, choreographer\, and theatre stage rental are just some of those who will work or bring their space or expertise to the table\, and like all working professionals\, they must be paid for their work. \nBut what if there is no budget at all?\nWhat if the budget is zero?\nThem?\nCan the dream be realized?\nThe answer is: YES!\nIt can be realized. \nAnd this Lab illuminates actions and moves that if accompanied with specific methods and a lot of personal work\, then the dream is achievable. \nEUROPEAN THEATRE LAB will be presented by Antonis Karagiannis\, who is a Director and has been awarded as a director and choreographer in theatre and television\, both in Greece and in Europe – (Bienalle). \nWhen: 9 November 2023 at 12.45 local time in Greece \nWhere: Grand Hotel Palace in Thessaloniki

SUMMARY:Local Theatre Movement - SKIES
DESCRIPTION:In a dark room\, an internal\, psychological and heartbreaking dialogue begins between Martha and her dead mother\, Olga. The daughter is haunted\, haunted by the past\, by everything she and her mother wished to experience and failed to do so because of her father’s oppression. The father\, who is not alive either\, appears\, sporadically (in a video wall)\, to monologue and suggest all that he is! Soon\, it seems\, a countdown to death begins\, as the daughter contemplates suicide.  An act that will be thwarted as at the last moment she discovers\, through the forgotten images that come to her memory\, a buried secret about her father. He too is a victim of his own family and his choices\, in a role he did not want\, but they chose for him. \nThis is a play entitled ‘SKIES” which is a Greek word and means “Shadows” in English. This is a play that sheds light on the plight of a young girl who\, along with her mother\, has been the victim of gender violence within their family by her father and husband. At the same time\, it also articulates a reflection on the ongoing oppression\, a result of the patriarchal family that still exists throughout humanity. \nThe Theatre Movement will take place in GRAND HOTEL PALACE\, in Thessaloniki\, on 8th of November\, at 16:00 p.m and it will be open for all.
