The performance “Tu S.E.I. Antigone” combines theatre and social awareness. The performance connects the Antigone of the philosopher Sophocles with the speech by António Gutierrez, current Secretary-General of the United Nations Secretary-General of the United Nations, on climate change, themes already dealt with in previous artistic residencies of the Theatre in Palm project which was decided given continuity and further artistic expression.
The main themes dealt with are:
- Social Justice: Through Antigone by Sophocles, we will reflect on the courage to oppose injustice.
- Climate Change: The speech by Gutierrez will help us better understand the urgency of the environmental crisis and the role of art in raising awareness and action.
The event aims to promote awareness on crucial issues and to engage the audience in a meaningful theatrical experience.The idea is to foster participation and collective action through art, emphasizing the importance of environmental preservation.
